Old Method using UNetbootin (might still work) Follow this tutorial if you are experiencing problems with this.)
Select the USB stick and select Erase (This will remove all data stored on the USB drive).Open Disk Utility from Applications > Utilities.Make sure you have a USB Stick with at least 4GB of free space.
